Health Management Information System (HMIS)

Health Management Information System (HMIS) was started by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India by 2008 under National Rural Health Mission (NRHM).It has significance by assessing the progress, quantifying output as well as outcome of interventions and decision making as well.

It provides availability of health care services,  Human Resource- man power as well as Drugs and Equipments  at all level of Health institutions as per Indian Public Health Standards (IPHS) on daily and monthly basis from every health Institution and  District headquarters.

This portal is a gateway of information regarding health indicators of Mizoram. The information available on this portal is derived data from data uploaded by the health facilities - District Hospitals (DHs), Sub-District Hospitals (SDHs),Community Health Centres (CHCs), Primary Health Centres (PHCs), Urban Primary Health Centres (UPHCs) and Sub Centre.  HMIS data specifically designed to support planning, management, and decision making based on Grading of facilities, various indicators at Facilities, District as well as State Level.

Monthly reporting is being done from all Health institutions by using software called HMIS Ministry Web Portal. It also has Public Domain https://hmis.mohfw.gov.in/#!/.
